An empire lays stone upon stone not in order to ascend, but to loom—to extend its gaze and its grasp. It appears heavy, monolithic, almost eternal; yet its vast weight is sustained by a precarious equilibrium of greed and the fear of losing dominance. Its stillness is illusory: a suspended moment before collapse, when accumulation has already outgrown meaning. For that which seems most unshakable often disintegrates from within, like a body that can no longer sustain the excess of its own appetite.

This pursuit is not for a thread, but for one’s own presence in life—a presence that slips away amid whirlwinds of doubt and other people's scenarios. The luminous thread is a delicate connection with one’s true self, easily lost when one becomes absorbed in movement, speed, and the expectations of others. A person may live a life full of events yet empty of meaning if they never once stop to ask: is this my path? Purpose does not lie outside us—it pulses within, like a light that need not be captured but simply allowed to be seen. And perhaps it is precisely at the moment of this encounter that chaos is transformed into meaning. From The Series of Works “A Journey of Self-Discovery with Sri Aurobindo”
