This painting is one of two that were created before the war.
It is an image of a young femme fatale. She holds a snake in her hand, which crawls out of her long hair. Micrurus or Coral Aspid, a genus of poisonous snakes in the family Aspidae (Elapidae), so called the snake that girl holds in his hands. This at first sight is not a significant detail, explains the unification of two images: the biblical image of Eve and the antique image of Medusa Gorgon. The image and detail leads to a philosophical question: are beauty and youth really so innocent?
The painting belongs to symbolism with elements of eroticism, inspired by the works of the Pre-Raphaelites and Fauvism.
