Portraits are most often portrayed as frozen in the moment, static. Despite the emotional
calmness of the portrait, I portray it dynamically. It’s a study of the human face as a living
object, not a frozen one. The face is subject to change, it happens every second, reflecting the inner life. That’s what I’m portraying. It’s a picture of expressionism and futurism, a Francis Bacon painting.
